Small Holding

We started growing fruit and veg around the same time as we got our first two chickens Margo and Barbara 15yrs ago.

Naturally as we progressed with our knowledge, we moved into breeding birds for the table as well as collecting eggs.

Every Spring we take a clutch of eggs and an incubator to the local school, so the reception class can learn about food and farming, whilst hatching out their own chicks or ducklings.

Surplus food or gluts of crops are often taken with us to our Woodcraft events, as we can guarantee our birds are truly free range, and all of our fruit and veg including our apple juice is organic.

We use no pesticides nor weedkillers and all of our fertiliser is plant based or provided by our poultry and the horse.

In a few years’ time we will be moving to a larger acreage where we will be able to offer visitors educational courses from soil science to animal husbandry, bee keeping, and organic small holding practices.

Eventually we will be providing meditative retreats with yoga, massage and exceptional quality home grown food.
